ShawnIngram.com/GeocacherGear.com: Short Outage…

We apologize for the short outage today that effected the ShawnIngram.com and GeocacherGear.com websites.  After talking to GoDaddy support, it appears there was an issue that effected a small portion of their domains they serve DNS for.  The tech explained they were currently working on it and things should be back shortly.  Within minutes we were back up and running on these two sites.  All our other sites were uneffected.

Thanks for your patience and again we apologize for any inconveniences.

Pristine Shopping: New Storefronts Added!

This week saw the rollout of a new database backend for our Pristine Shopping website.  Pristine Shopping is a website mall with several awesome merchants with many more to come in the future.

Phase one of the new backend rollout features merchant storefronts.  We were previously building individual pages for each merchant.  With the new database, we will be able to add new merchants much more quickly and efficiently.

Phase two of the rollout will not only include our merchants who offer storefronts, but will also feature shopping categories where our customers can not only browse merchandise on our site but may also view merchandise on partner sites which we do not have storefronts for.  Currently this phase is in the works with no present ETA.

With the rollout of phase one, we are happy to announce eight additional storefronts which have been added to the Pristine Shopping experience!

Shawn’s Ramblings: A fool and his money are soon parted

As I sit here on the last day of March, some thoughts go through my mind. Several friends who are artists/designers are pushing a new buzz on [tag]original April Fool[/tag] featuring their artistic work on t-shirts, gifts, and other clothing items. While most designs are geared toward the classic jester type fool, it got me thinking of other uses of the term fool.

Vicki of SS Noah Christian Gifts, wrote in a recent post to fellow artists I have been humming the song “Why do Fools Fall In Love”.

Along that same thought, my first thought when everyone started with this concept was the old saying “A fool and his money are soon parted.” What do money fools do with their money? Well, they spend it - quite a few because they are in love. Kinda gets ya thinking eh?

Well as we approach [tag]April Fool’s Day[/tag] this year, what type of a fool are you this year? A happy go lucky jestery type, one in love with someone special/certain items/their money, or one who is constantly thinking of gifts they need to buy and parting with your money? Whichever type of [tag]April Fool[/tag] you are, you are sure to find some awesome gifts or things for yourself at these artist’s shops!
